CHAD - Illegal Issues of Postage Stamps

Dear Sir/Madam

The postal administration of CHAD asks me to inform you that it has just discovered that several issues of postage stamps have been illegally printed on behalf of Chad by companies located in Belgium, Lithuania and the United States of America.

These include the following postage stamp sets:

• Elephants 100, 150, 200, 250, 300 F
   
• Cats 100, 150, 200, 250, 300 F
   
• 130th anniversary of the birth of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, apostle of peace 100, 150, 200, 250, 300 F
   
• Butterflies 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 350 F

The Chadian Posts and Savings Company strongly protests against these illegal and unofficial issues and asks the UPU to help it put an end to the sale of these pirated postage stamps by informing its international partners.

The Chadian Posts and Savings Company reserves the right to prosecute the forgers with all the legal means at its disposal.
