Participate with a Webpage in the World Philatelic Exhibition EFIRO 2008

The web pages will be displayed at the exhibition on a HDTV screen with a diagonal of 106 cm (42") and with a resolution of 1024 by 768 pixels. In most cases, the presentation will run unassisted. Because the scrolling of the pages won't be possible during those times, the pages should fill the screen but not exceed its dimensions.  For this reason the resolution of the pages should not go beyond 950 by 550 pixels (W x H, like for this page).

The screen will be connected to a computer that runs under Windows XP; therefore only files that are compatible with the Windows OS can be accepted. The presentation will run automatically (unassisted) or manually, under the Internet Explorer 7 browser. Click here for an example of the presentation.

To check how your pages will appear on the screen, we recommend that you temporarily change the display resolution of your computer monitor to 1024 by 768 pixels. Please note that on a big screen the images will appear quite a bit larger than on a computer monitor. Because the screen space will be a limited resource, we recommend that you to reduce the dimensions of your images by 30% to 50% of what you usually use on your web pages. The recommended resolution of your images is 56 dpi, like in the examples shown below (three more images would have space on the same row). An Arial font of size 10 (like this one) can be read easily on the TV screen. Because the graphic files can be smaller, final pages with total sizes greater than 200KB won't be accepted for the presentation.
